Thanks to the Australia council for the arts and Arts SA, for over 2 months Billie undertook professional development in Amsterdam and Spain.  Performing and taking workshops with Katie Duck and Magpie Music Dance Company, Lily Kiara, and Julyen Hamilton.

This was an amazing opportunity for Billie to be pushed out of her comfort zone, reinventing her movement practice with new skills and techniques of creating form, performing improvisation with musicians and dancers, and attending an 11 day dance retreat.

Living in Amsterdam gave Billie a chance to get to know the artistic community and culture, and contribute as an Australian dance artist, acceptance into an international community if dance.
